Manual Machinist – ProtoTRAKJob Description
We are seeking experienced Manual Machinists to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual mills and lathes, with a strong preference for experience using ProtoTRAK controls.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes.
- Program, edit, and operate ProtoTRAK controls.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Perform machine setups and make necessary adjustments to produce quality parts.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow established machining, safety, and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist.
- Hands-on experience with ProtoTRAK controls strongly preferred.
- Experience with TRAK Machine Tools, TRAK DPM, TRAK TRL, or K3/K4 knee mills is a plus.
- Experience with ProtoTRAK SMX, KMX, SM, Edge, Plus, or EMX controls is highly desirable.
- Candidates without ProtoTRAK experience may be considered with experience using Acu-Rite or MillPwr controls.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
