Blue Door Real Estate Group is a growing real estate investment and property management company managing residential and commercial properties throughout Miami-Dade County.
We are looking for a dependable, hands-on Property Maintenance Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving maintenance issues, and is committed to providing excellent service to our tenants.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and has experience performing general building maintenance across multiple properties. Every day is different, and technicians should be comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and property-related tasks as needed to keep our buildings operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance for residential and commercial properties.
- Complete repairs involving drywall, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections.
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Install and repair doors, locks, hardware, fixtures, and other building components.
- Occasionally assist with additional property-related tasks needed to maintain the overall condition, safety, and appearance of our properties.
- Document completed work orders and maintenance activities using AppFolio.
- Communicate maintenance concerns and recommendations to supervisors.
- Travel between company properties throughout Miami-Dade County as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, apartment maintenance, or a related field.
Working knowledge of:
- Drywall repair
- Painting
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical
- Carpentry
- General building repairs
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues independently.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Driver's License.
- Reliable personal vehicle required.
- Personal hand tools required.
- Ability to travel throughout Miami-Dade County.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
