Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Cleaning Supervisor to lead and oversee cleaning operations across various facilities. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety, ensuring a welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors alike. As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing cleaning teams, implementing sanitation protocols, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple sites, including commercial, industrial, hospitality, or healthcare facilities
- Lead and motivate cleaning staff to achieve high standards of cleanliness and sanitation through effective team management and training
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure timely completion of cleaning duties
- Enforce safety regulations and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals to maintain a safe working environment
- Conduct inspections to verify cleanliness levels, sanitation practices, and adherence to health standards
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper usage and timely replenishment
- Communicate clearly with team members, clients, and management regarding operational needs, safety concerns, or service issues
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or hotel housekeeping management with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, safety regulations, and janitorial best practices
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment
- Effective managerial communication skills for training staff, providing feedback, and coordinating with clients or stakeholders
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
- Customer service orientation with a focus on delivering exceptional cleanliness standards
- Experience with laundry operations or specialized cleaning such as industrial or hospital-grade sanitation is a plus
- Knowledge of management principles related to team supervision and safety compliance
- Spanish language skills are a plus but they are not required.
