American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a 32-bed Ortho & Spine unit requiring 2 years of acute inpatient tele experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Ortho & Spine unit with 32 beds and a 6:1 patient ratio
-
Patient population includes ortho, spine, and general medicine diagnoses
-
Medication management includes pain management and insulin administration
-
Utilizes CPAP, PCA, feeding tubes, wound vac, and trach care skills
-
RN reads telemetry but does not perform titration
-
Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, every other weekend
-
Uses Epic EMR
-
APRN support available with self-scheduling
-
Active KY or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient telemetry RN experience required

Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required

Epic EMR experience required

Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation

Provides patient and family education specific to care needs and discharge planning

Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor

Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives

Complies with regulatory standards and organizational practice governance model
