Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Driver. In this role, you will operate Volvo VNR automatic trucks and 39' end dump trailers. Your expertise in logistics will drive our commitment to excellence on the road. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated drivers eager to showcase their skills in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and end dump trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across OTR routes.
- Load and unload freight.
- Transport various types of industrial bulk materials.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns during transit.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving on over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL Class A)
- Demonstrated ability to handle automatic transmissions.
- End Dump trailer experience preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, and safety standards for truck driving.
- Ability to manage truck loading/unloading processes accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance in commercial trucking environments.
