About the Role:
Armortec is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to lead business development and sales efforts in the mid-south region for our Hard Armor Erosion Control product portfolio. This role is responsible for driving specification development, expanding project pipelines, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving revenue and margin objectives.
As an Account Manager for Armortec, your responsibilities will include:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth by developing favorable product specifications and expanding the project pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, owners, and public agencies.
- Establish territory goals and performance standards aligned with revenue and margin targets.
- Monitor and evaluate market trends, competitive conditions, and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing guidelines, margin targets, and bidding strategies.
Project & Pipeline Management
- Perform plan takeoffs in support of quotations and orders.
- Prepare or assist in the development of quotations and project schedules.
- Manage and continuously update the CRM system to ensure accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting.
- Monitor transactions through completion, including coordination with Inside Sales and assistance with collections or issue resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with Customer Service and Operations to align sales efforts with production and inventory.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through effective coordination and follow-through.
- Enforce call management programs and provide regular progress updates.
Industry Expertise
- Maintain working knowledge of hard armor products, production capabilities, margins, and quality standards.
- Stay informed on engineering and construction industry trends and standards.
- Continuously develop consultative marketing and transactional selling skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant experience; BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management strongly preferred.
- Broad knowledge of the engineering and construction industry.
- Strong analytical, forecasting and sales planning skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, organizational, and follow-through skills.
- Experience managing project pipelines and CRM systems.
- Excellent relationship-building and communications skills.
- PE license preferred.
