Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout the event
- Set up banquet tables with appropriate linens, utensils, glassware, and centerpieces according to event specifications
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including wine knowledge and beverage service skills
- Buss tables promptly, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new guests or courses
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and maintaining food safety standards
- Use POS systems accurately to process orders and payments when applicable
- Collaborate with catering staff to ensure seamless service delivery during events
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing needs promptly and professionally
- Support fine dining standards through proper serving techniques and presentation
Qualifications
- Prior experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly preferred
- Culinary experience or food service experience demonstrating knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction
- Experience with banquet or large event service is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and billing purposes
- Knowledge of wine, beverage service, and drink etiquette is desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems and food safety regulations required
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude in high-energy settings
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
