Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including order picking, shipping and receiving, in our family owned operation. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of goods within the warehouse environment and requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
We are a small, family-owned business seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. In this role, you will play a vital part in our daily operations, ensuring orders are accurately picked, packed, and shipped with efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Pick light inventory by hand with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare shipments and package orders for USPS, UPS, and FedEx
- Receive incoming raw materials—primarily fabric and textiles—as well as finished goods
- Conduct inventory counts, organize stock, and ensure proper itemization
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and uphold safety and quality standards
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet daily shipping deadlines
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Prior warehouse experience is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important.
Experience/Skills:
· Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not required.
· Moving around the warehouse and locating inventory
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
· Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
· Maintaining accurate product inventory
· Picking by hand using SKU numbers on a constant basis
· Pick, packing and shipping products in a neat fashion
· Packaging the individual items and preparing them for USPS, Amazon, or UPS shipping
· Attention to detail and organization skills
· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. constantly and consistently
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.+ frequently
· A commitment to following safety guidelines and protocols at all times
· Great math skills
· Computer skills
· General shipping software experience such as USPS, UPS WorldShip, FEDEX, and ShipStation etc.
· HS Diploma a must or associate's degree
Hours requested:
Monday – Friday 8AM until 3 PM
Possible additional hours during busy seasons.
