High School Assistant Dean of Culture & Climate
Philadelphia Performing Arts: A String Theory Charter School seeks a full-time Dean of
Students to support the High School leadership team at the Vine Street Campus. This is a
10-month position.
This position is designed to support the High School Dean of Culture & Climate and
administrative team in creating and maintaining a safe, orderly, and positive learning
environment that promotes student achievement, attendance, engagement, and
social-emotional growth. The Assistant Dean of Students will serve as a highly visible leader
throughout the school, supporting school culture initiatives, behavior systems, restorative
practices, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) while building strong
relationships with students, families, and staff.
Achieving academic and artistic excellence requires that school leaders work collaboratively
to foster a culture of high expectations, accountability, belonging, and student success.
Inherent in this position are responsibilities related to student support, behavioral systems,
school safety, restorative practices, and fostering a positive school climate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
Demonstrated success working with adolescents in an educational setting
- Experience implementing student behavior systems, restorative practices, MTSS,
PBIS, or similar frameworks
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
