JOB DESCRIPTION: HOST
Summary:
Responsible for welcoming and seating each guest promptly and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibility:

Welcome and seat guests promptly and efficiently

Accurately handle guest payment (if required)

Answers telephone by identifying self and restaurant, speaking clearly and sincerely. Take To Go orders, messages and transfer calls to appropriate party.

Promptly handle guest concerns, notifying Manager in a timely manner, so concern can be addressed prior to guest departure

Clean and stock host service area as needed

Complete opening and/or closing duties as assigned

Assist servers and other team members as requested

Perform all other duties or special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
-
Excellent Guest Service skills
-
Must be able to follow directions, accurately make change and handle different methods of payment
-
Excellent communication skills to verbally communicate effectively with guests, associates and vendors
-
Must be able to use a computer for settling guest checks, ringing in to go orders and for timekeeping purposes
-
Professional conduct at all times
-
Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift
-
Minimum lifting, pushing and pulling of 40 pounds
-
Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing and typing
