Overview
Join our dynamic security team as an Armed Security Guard and play a vital role in safeguarding property, assets, and personnel. You will be responsible for patrolling premises, controlling access points, and responding swiftly to incidents to ensure safety and compliance at all times. Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to deter unauthorized access and identify potential threats
- Manage access control systems to verify identities, perform background checks, and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to emergencies by implementing fire safety protocols, operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, and firearm handling procedures when necessary
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and precision
- Perform conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes effectively while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or criminal activities by providing relevant information and support
- Execute manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting or moving security equipment while adhering to safety standards
- Monitor CCTV footage continuously for suspicious activity or security violations using surveillance technology
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Valid certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and emergency response procedures
- Demonstrated ability in conflict management, conflict de-escalation, and customer service skills to handle diverse situations effectively
- Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV operations, incident report writing, and performing background checks
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties that include standing for extended periods, heavy lifting, manual handling, and quick response actions
- Knowledge of legal regulations related to firearm handling, heavy lifting safety protocols, and compliance standards in security operations
