Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Governance Specialist to lead data governance initiatives for a client in Renewable Energy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape data management practices across the organization, ensuring data quality, compliance, and effective data lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about establishing robust data policies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging cutting-edge tools to enhance our data ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Lead efforts in master data management to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity of critical business data across systems.
- Design and oversee data models that support scalable database systems, data warehouses, and big data architectures.
- Monitor and improve data quality through systematic audits, validation processes, and quality metrics using tools like Talend, Informatica, or similar platforms.
- Manage compliance with industry regulations related to data privacy and security by implementing best practices in information governance.
- Utilize business intelligence tools such as Tableau and other analytics platforms to visualize insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional communication efforts to promote a culture of data stewardship and awareness throughout the organization.
Skills
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Purview including sensitivity labeling, data loss prevention, and metadata management
- Extensive experience with database management systems including SQL databases, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance management related to data privacy (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Excellent analysis skills combined with strong communication abilities for clear cross-functional collaboration.
- Understanding of information governance principles including metadata management, data lineage, and audit trails.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
