Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the organization’s financial health. Your expertise in various accounting systems and software will help streamline processes, maintain accurate records, and provide insightful financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and House-charges
- Perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct journal entries and double entry bookkeeping to record all financial transactions accurately.
- Support internal controls compliance by assisting with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures and audits.
- Utilize Excel data analysis skills for budgeting, variance analysis, and detailed financial reporting.
- Handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining meticulous data entry standards.
- Assist with payroll management and non-profit accounting functions as needed.
- Contribute to month-end closing activities by preparing ledger adjustments and account analysis.
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades to existing software to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven accounting experience with a strong foundation in corporate accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with multiple financial software platforms such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, UltiPro, Kronos, ADP or similar systems.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, and ledger management.
- Strong understanding of GAAP guidelines and technical accounting concepts including debits & credits and account analysis.
- Experience in public accounting or working within a non-profit environment is advantageous.
- Excellent numeracy skills coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel—for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while providing exceptional customer service internally and externally.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
