Job Summary
We are a family owned/private practice located near Fishtown and Northern Liberties. We have a large patient base and in need of an MD or DO. This is part time to full time position with flexible hours ranging from at least 20 hours needed and up too 32 hours. At least 50 patients a week. Every day except Wednesdays and Fridays have 2 hour admin breaks/lunch; W/F are very short days ). Very easy going practice that promotes healthy work/life balance; No on-call , no nights, and no weekends. MA’s room, triage, take vital signs. PTO will be offered.
PAY IS NEGOTIABLE AND DEPENDENT ON HOW MANY HOURS YOU ARE LOOKING TO WORK.
Duties
- Conduct detailed medical evaluations, including physical examinations and patient assessments, to determine health status and identify medical issues.
- Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices, medication management, and lifestyle counseling.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Manage acute care cases in outpatient settings, provide diagnoses, and pharmaceutical treatment
- Coordinate with specialists across various fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, psychiatry, and obstetrics to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide health coaching and preventative care education to promote wellness and chronic disease management.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records for all patient interactions.
- Deliver compassionate patient service by addressing concerns, explaining diagnoses clearly, and fostering a trusting environment.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution with valid and clean licensure to practice medicine in the relevant jurisdiction.
- DEA registration and ability to prescribe medications as required.
- Proven experience in primary care or family medicine with a strong foundation in clinical evaluation and treatment planning.
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong understanding of physiology knowledge and medical terminology for accurate diagnosis and documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in advanced life support or specialty areas are desirable.
