Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Cleaner to join our evening cleaning team on Friday nights. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards across various commercial facilities during the late evening hours, ensuring a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with janitorial or custodial experience to contribute to a well-maintained facility while working during the quiet, off-hours of the week.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of cleaning supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Use specialized cleaning tools and machinery efficiently to buff floors, clean carpets, and perform other custodial tasks.
- Follow safety procedures consistently to prevent accidents or injuries during cleaning operations.
- Ensure all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations while supporting facilities maintenance efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and sanitation tools.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and manual handling with attention to safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within the 3-4 hour shift window on Friday evenings.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards customer service and team collaboration.
- Prior experience with industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus but not required.
