Position Summary
GP Installation LLC is seeking a highly organized, results-driven Business Development Manager to oversee and support the company's sales operations, human resources, technology systems, and administrative functions.
This remote leadership role serves as a key partner to company ownership, helping ensure that business processes, people, systems, and sales initiatives operate efficiently and effectively. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving operational excellence, supporting employee engagement, managing HR processes, overseeing technology resources, and providing visibility into company performance through reporting and process improvements.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who thrives in a growing entrepreneurial environment and has experience supporting multiple business functions simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
Business Operations & Administration
- Oversee daily business operations and administrative processes.
- Develop, document, and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and communication across departments.
- Track and report key business performance metrics.
- Support ownership with strategic initiatives and special projects.
- Assist with organizational planning and business process improvement efforts.
Sales Operations Support
- Monitor and report sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Support lead management, pipeline tracking, and customer relationship processes.
- Coordinate between sales, operations, and leadership teams.
- Assist with proposal, contract, and customer onboarding processes.
- Develop and maintain sales reporting and dashboards.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales process efficiency and effectiveness.
Human Resources Management
- Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain employee records and personnel documentation.
- Assist with performance management processes and employee development programs.
- Support employee relations and company culture initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Manage benefits administration and employee communications upon W-2 conversion.
- Develop and maintain employee handbooks, policies, and training materials.
Information Technology Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison with third-party IT vendors and service providers.
- Coordinate implementation and maintenance of software platforms and technology solutions.
- Manage user access, software licenses, and technology assets.
- Assist with cybersecurity awareness and technology best practices.
- Support system improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot basic technology issues and coordinate escalations when necessary.
Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational reports.
- Track key metrics related to staffing, sales performance, recruiting, and business operations.
- Analyze trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- Develop dashboards and performance scorecards.
- Support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Partner closely with ownership and department leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement.
- Help establish and maintain organizational priorities.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Support change management and company growth strategies.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in business operations, office management, human resources, sales operations, or related leadership roles.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred
- Experience in construction, carpentry, installation, trades, or project-based businesses.
- Human Resources experience including recruiting and employee relations.
- CRM experience.
- Experience supporting remote teams.
- Knowledge of process improvement and business systems implementation.

First 90-Day Objectives
During the initial 90-day engagement, the Business Development Manager will:
- Evaluate current operational processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Review sales, HR, and technology workflows.
- Develop key operational and sales reporting metrics.
- Assess recruiting and onboarding processes.
- Create or update standard operating procedures.
- Build strong working relationships with employees, contractors, and leadership.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication, and accountability across the organization.
Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
This position will begin as a 1099 Independent Contractor engagement for the first 90 days.
The initial 90-day period will serve as a mutual evaluation period to assess performance, leadership capabilities, communication, and cultural fit.
Upon successful completion of the 90-day contract period, the selected candidate may be offered a full-time W-2 Business Development Manager position, including eligibility for company-sponsored benefits and future advancement opportunities.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
