American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN-Telemetry with a minimum of 1 year of MS Tele/PCU experience and an active PA or Compact RN license.

Hospital-based Telemetry unit with a mix of Medical-Surgical Telemetry and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) patients
-
Patient ratios of 5-6:1

Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
-
Cerner EMR experience preferred
-
Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius as needed
-
Required to work every other holiday

Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
NIHSS certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry/PCU nursing experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Charge nurse experience preferred
-
Phlebotomy, PICC line management, ABG interpretation, and pacemaker/cardiac care skills preferred

Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
-
Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, and administer thrombolytic agents as needed

Care for patients with a variety of cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and post-surgical conditions

Utilize Rapid Response and Code teams as part of emergency response protocols
-
Local candidates accepted at the travel rate

Travel pairs may be considered based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed

Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
