Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with food preparation, including slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards
- Support meal preparation for dine-in, catering events, or take-out orders while adhering to recipe guidelines
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
- Follow safety protocols in handling food products and operating equipment to prevent accidents or contamination
Requirements
MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in production environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and support a collaborative kitchen atmosphere
