Certified Preschool Teacher Job Description
This role is responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing curriculum that promotes the academic and social-emotional growth of all children in their care, which may include toddlers and/or preschool-aged children. The teacher is also expected to develop partnerships with parents and caregivers to encourage active participation in the program. This is a 10-month, full-time position.
Our center features inclusive classrooms that serve children with special needs, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum. Because MCC Family Services also provides behavioral health services, on-site Behavioral Support Services are available to support both students and staff. We are proud to be a 4 Keystone STAR center, to partner with CHOP on specialized research, and to maintain close relationships with the local Intermediate Unit and Early Intervention Services. Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Work, or other Human Services field
- Valid Early Childhood Education Certification (Instructional I, Instructional II, or Private Academic Certification)
- Special Education Certification preferred but not required
- Must meet PA Department of Education regulations for preschool classrooms
- Experience in Pre-K Counts settings preferred but not required
- Must pass child abuse clearance, criminal background check, FBI fingerprinting, NSOR check, and drug screening
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or approved medical or religious exemption

Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (10-month/year position)
