Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant High School Hall Monitor to ensure a safe, orderly, and positive environment within the school premises. This contract position through Edustaff offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in student supervision, behavior management, and safety enforcement. You will be responsible for maintaining school policies, supporting students with diverse needs, and fostering a secure atmosphere conducive to learning and growth. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and committed to promoting student well-being while adhering to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students during transitions between classes and lunch periods to ensure safety and discipline.
- Enforce school policies and procedures consistently, addressing behavioral issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a safe environment by monitoring hallways, common areas, and entrances/exits, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and emergency personnel regarding student behavior or safety concerns.
- Handle confidential information responsibly while documenting incidents or behavioral issues accurately.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with students, children, or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of school policies and safety regulations.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
- Ability to support children with disabilities and adapt supervision strategies accordingly.
