RV Accessories & Upfitting SpecialistPosition Summary
The RV Parts, Accessories & Upfitting Specialist is a high-energy sales and support role focused on helping customers get more enjoyment, comfort, and capability out of their RVs. This person drives parts, accessories, upfitting, and service-related sales by actively identifying customer needs, recommending the right solutions, and creating a positive buying experience. Through strong product knowledge, a winning attitude, and effective parts sourcing and inventory management, this role helps increase customer satisfaction, improve service department efficiency, and grow dealership profitability.
Qualifications
- Experience in RV, automotive, marine, trailer, towing, or aftermarket parts sales.
- Strong knowledge of RV accessories and upfitting products, including:
- Solar and battery upgrades
- Lithium battery systems
- Hitch and towing accessories
- Tongue jacks and leveling systems
- Storage and cargo solutions
- Electrical and convenience upgrades
- Basic installation knowledge of RV accessories.
- Experience with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
Primary ResponsibilitiesRV Accessories & Service Upsells
- Identify and recommend RV accessories, upgrades, and service enhancements during every customer interaction.
- Partner with Service Advisors and Technicians to identify customer-pay upgrade opportunities.
- Review repair orders for accessory and upsell opportunities.
- Build and present upgrade packages that enhance the RV ownership experience.
- Increase average repair order revenue through accessory and upgrade sales.
Parts Sales & Customer Service
- Assist customers with parts and accessory selection.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
- Recommend complementary products and services whenever appropriate.
- Handle special orders, returns, and warranty inquiries.
Service Department Support
- Source parts quickly to minimize technician downtime.
- Work closely with technicians and advisors to support repair operations.
- Research and procure hard-to-find parts through local, aftermarket, and OEM suppliers.
- Pre-pick, label, and stage parts for scheduled service work.
Inventory Management
- Receive, stock, organize, and maintain inventory.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Maintain inventory accuracy and proper stock levels.
- Assist with annual and periodic physical inventories.
Order Processing & Shipping
- Process customer and work-order parts requests accurately.
- Manage special orders and open purchase orders.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities.
Performance Expectations
- Achieve monthly Parts & Accessories Gross Profit goals.
- Meet or exceed accessory and service upsell targets.
- Maintain high accessory attachment rates on repair orders.
- Maintain 99% inventory accuracy.
- Complete cycle counts and inventory controls on schedule.
- Maintain repair order parts status objectives and purchasing timelines.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
