Position Summary
Integrated Surgical Center of Arizona is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cath Lab Procedural RN to support our growing cardiology program. This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center (ASC) environment and is comfortable managing patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-procedural, and post-anesthesia (PACU) phases of care. Our program includes diagnostic caths, device implants, pacemakers, and generator changes. Cath lab experience is a MUST.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pre-operative assessments, chart review, and patient education
- Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures (diagnostic and interventional)
- Support pacemaker and cardiac device implants, including sterile setup and monitoring
- Assist with pacemaker/ICD generator changes and device procedures
- Administer and monitor moderate sedation per policy
- Provide continuous hemodynamic and cardiac monitoring
- Deliver safe PACU care including recovery and discharge readiness
- Ensure accurate documentation in EMR (HST preferred)
- Maintain Joint Commission compliance and infection control standards
- Participate in emergency response (ACLS/code situations)
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license – Arizona
- Cath Lab experience
- BLS and ACLS required
- 2+ years Cath Lab, ICU, or critical care experience preferred
- Experience with pacemakers, cardiac devices, or electrophysiology preferred
- Moderate sedation and PACU recovery experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and post-procedure care
Schedule & Employment Type
PRN / Part-Time (flexible scheduling based on case volume)
Day shift – No weekends or holidays
