- Component Assembly: Position, align, and fasten electronic and mechanical parts, wires, and subassemblies into housings or casings.
- Soldering & Wiring: Strip insulation, attach connectors, and perform delicate hand soldering (e.g., through-hole or surface-mount components) where automated machines cannot reach.
- Reading Schematics: Follow standardized work instructions, blueprints, and diagrams to guarantee proper part placement and assembly sequence.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished boards and devices for defects, test product functionality, and troubleshoot minor errors before final packaging.
- Production Support: Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with 5S standards, stock parts, and prepare completed goods for shipment.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- Manual Dexterity: Strong fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to handle microscopic or miniature electronic parts.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic ability to read CAD drawings, electrical schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, frequently lift moderate weights (typically up to 40 pounds), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to ESD (electrostatic discharge) guidelines, safety gear usage (e.g., safety glasses), and cleanroom protocols when required.
