Shift: M-Th (5a -3:30P)
This position is responsible for setting up the production lines (drill press, routers, welders, saws, etc.) and assisting the supervisor with any other tasks. This individual will also be cutting the material used to build the window frames. Their main focus will be setting up the lines, but they will also be helping out with cutting and any other tasks the supervisor needs help with.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Manufacturing Setup Technician to join our production team. This role is responsible for setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment to ensure products are produced according to blueprint specifications and quality standards.This position will primarily focus on setting up production lines and equipment including drill presses, routers, welders, saws, and other manufacturing machinery.
The Setup Technician will also assist the production supervisor with daily operational needs, including cutting material used to build window frames and supporting additional production tasks as needed.The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and making mechanical equipment adjustments.Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust production lines and manufacturing equipment for production runs
- Work with equipment such as drill presses, routers, welders, saws, and related machinery
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
- Verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, tape measures, and other measuring tools
- Make mechanical adjustments to ensure parts meet print specifications and tolerances
- Cut materials used in the production of window frames
- Troubleshoot setup and production issues to minimize downtime and scrap
- Perform first-piece inspections and monitor quality throughout production
- Assist the production supervisor with additional manufacturing and operational tasks as needed
- Work closely with operators, supervisors, and quality teams to maintain production efficiency
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience adjusting machinery, tooling, or production equipment
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous manufacturing or machine setup experience preferred
