We are seeking a seasoned, high-performing Senior Cabinet Designer with 4+ years of dedicated cabinetry design experience. We need someone who knows cabinetry inside and out—from structural construction to advanced design layouts. Duties & Responsibilities
- Client Collaboration: Successfully lead client design meetings, confidently guiding them through design selections and layout solutions. Act as an excellent problem solver to address any spatial or aesthetic challenges.
- Project Management: Masterfully run projects from birth to death. You must know exactly how your projects are progressing at any given moment, keeping a pulse on the cabinetry build status, job site readiness, and install progress.
- Design & Drafting: Utilize advanced design software to draft precise, functional, and high-end cabinetry layouts.
- Data Management: Handle precise cabinetry data entry and order specifications into our ERP software Innergy.
- On-Site Operations: Conduct thorough job site visits to check project readiness, verify field conditions, and troubleshoot on-site challenges.
- Team Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the installation team, effectively communicating detailed pre-install instructions to ensure a seamless transition from design to reality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Industry Expertise: 4+ years of cabinetry design experience with a profound understanding of cabinetry design principles, layout strategies, wood species, and their unique material properties, different finishes, etc.
- Technical Mastery (Required): Advanced computer skills, including MS Word and Excel. Proficiency in CAD software (such as SketchUp, AutoCAD LT, or similar) is required for this role.
- Elite Communication & Extroverted Personality: An outgoing, client-facing personality with a drive to collaborate instantly and transparently with all parties involved in a project.
- Tenacity & Problem Solving: A self-motivated, "get-it-done" attitude with a fierce drive to complete all tasks thoroughly and solve complex design dilemmas.
- Crazy Organizational Skills: An obsession with details, timelines, and keeping multiple moving parts on track.
- High-Pressure Resilience: Ability to confidently navigate high-pressure situations, especially when communication between departments isn't perfectly clear. You must be highly skilled at navigating hard conversations with clients, setting expectations clearly from the start, and holding them to deadlines.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
