SouthCoast Pediatric Department Seeks an Office Supervisor
Responsible for assisting Pediatric Department Manager in all aspects of medical practice. Supervises clerical and clinical staff on a day to day basis, and ensures that work and patient flow are meeting practice goals and objectives.
Willing to work in our Savannah, Richmond Hill, and Rincon Pediatric offices.
Responsibilities:
Assist Pediatric Department Manager in overseeing the day to day operations of the practice including patient flow, clinical support functions, check in, check out, billing, A/R, appointment scheduling, medical records, and customer service. Responsible for training office staff on corporate policies and office procedures. Assures patient care needs are met and where possible exceeded.
Ensures compliance with operational, clinical and Human Resources policies, procedures, regulations, and standards. Demonstrates knowledge of and supports corporate mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, and the code of ethical behavior.
Assists Practice Manager in overseeing and supervising daily office and clinical operations, including proper staffing, identifying qualified candidates through selection process, orientation, scheduling, training, disciplining and supervision of staff as directed. Assist Manager with conflict resolution and performance issues and evaluations as directed.
Assists Practice Manager in performing such office functions as: office payroll and tracking information, including records of vacation, sick leave, and overtime.
Ensures good customer service is rendered at each point of service.
Keeps Practice Manager informed of any issues in office, as pertaining to physicians, office staff, patients, procedures and inefficiencies. Handles office issues as directed. Works with Manager to resolve issues and identify solutions.
Identifies and makes recommendations in areas of ineffective processes. Implements new and improved processes within office. Supervises all staff work status and progress.
Assists Pediatric Department Manager with daily operations as delegated. Ensures that invoices are coded and processed in timely fashion. Ensures that purchases are made within established guidelines. Ensures that financial reporting, including but not limited to, missing tickets, hospital reports, and deposits are completed within required deadline.
Communicates with and assist providers, patients and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner. Builds and maintains a professional relationship with pediatric department manager, Providers, coworkers, and subordinates.
Ensures that clinical and clerical supplies are ordered and stocked sufficiently to support the practice and within budgetary constraints.
Attends required meetings and participates on committees as requested. Participates in professional development activities. Attends conferences and workshops beneficial to company goals.
Reports to work on a regular and consistent basis.
Education:High school diploma. Two years of college or equivalent preferred. General medical knowledge and medical terminology acquired through formal education or on the job training required. Prefer graduate of an accredited training program. Courses health care office management preferred.
Experience:Minimum of two years supervisory experience in a medical office setting.Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferred.
