We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Toddler Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will be the primary caregiver and educator for toddlers, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes growth, curiosity, and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the foundational years of children’s lives through engaging activities, thoughtful lesson planning, and compassionate classroom management. Through our Christ-centered curriculum, our affectionate and loving staff ensure that our children learn and grow in Christ's love! This position would start in our toddler classroom, but you may have the opportunity to work with our preschool or infant classroom as needs change.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, early intervention strategies, and Montessori principles to support holistic childhood development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, socialization, and learning through play.
- Manage daily classroom activities, including lesson planning, behavior management, and individualized attention to meet each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address concerns related to child welfare or special education needs, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor developmental milestones and inform instructional strategies.
- Incorporate physical education activities and promote healthy habits to support overall well-being.
- Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, child progress reports, and incident documentation in compliance with licensing standards.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a licensed childcare classroom
- Coursework or a degree in early childhood education or child development
- The ability to meet the state of Minnesota and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Positive references and evidence of caring for children in a positive and nurturing manner
- Ability to implement inclusive practices for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Flexibility in the hours and schedule of work. Center hours: M-F 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Eligible for bonus pay (approximately $2.00/hr) after 60 days of employment.
