Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painter to join our team and bring vibrant, lasting finishes to a variety of projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring high-quality results across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces through skilled craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of color theory and surface preparation. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, and hand tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
- Perform specialized painting tasks including drywall plastering, stucco application, masonry finishing, and restoration work.
- Execute renovation projects by installing fixtures, trim carpentry, caulking, framing, and performing basic carpentry repairs as needed.
- Use power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to complete painting tasks on time and within scope.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris following safety standards.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for project planning.
- Proficiency in color theory to select appropriate hues for aesthetic consistency.
- Experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and construction site work.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, saws, drills, welders, and masonry tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution.
- Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including plastering, sanding, caulking, and masonry finishing.
- Familiarity with renovation processes involving fixture installation, remodeling, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, stucco application, concrete finishing, masonry work, welding and maintenance tasks.
- Experience with airless paint spraying equipment for efficient large-scale applications.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications.
- Construction estimating skills for assessing project scope and material needs.
