Colorado Protection & Investigation Agency is seeking a highly professional and experienced individual to fill a contract position as a Private School Resource Agent (SRA) at a prestigious private school campus in Parker, CO.
Job Overview
The School Resource Agent plays a crucial role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors within the school premises. This position involves monitoring school grounds, enforcing safety regulations, and fostering positive relations within the school community. The agent will be an employee of Colorado Protection & Investigation Agency and will adhere to both company and school policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to fostering a positive educational atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Campus Security & Patrol: Maintain a visible presence by regularly patrolling school grounds, facilities, and perimeter to deter criminal activity and unauthorized access.
- Incident Response: Respond immediately and effectively to all security concerns, emergencies, and calls for service on campus, coordinating actions with school administration.
- Conflict Management: Provide support for de-escalation and conflict resolution among students and non-criminal interventions where appropriate.
- Policy Enforcement: Enforce school rules, procedures, and relevant laws on campus property.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist school administration with developing, implementing, and practicing safety drills and emergency response procedures (e.g., lockdown, fire, evacuation).
- Community Relations: Serve as a positive role model and resource for students and staff, building trust and rapport with the school community.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, investigations, and daily activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior Law Enforcement: Encouraged to apply
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a sworn police officer. Prior experience as an SRO, in juvenile justice, or in a similar security/protective role is highly preferred.
- Background: Must pass an extensive criminal background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation.
- Personal Equipment: Candidates must own their own duty-appropriate, legally registered firearm, vest, and complete duty gear. The security company may provide certain supplementary equipment as required by the contract or needs of the individual.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to interact effectively and positively with youth, parents, and diverse school staff.
- Skills: Excellent judgment, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.

- Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 3:15 PM] during the school year, with occasional requirements for evening events or coverage during school breaks.
