SoCa Arts is looking for a fun, outgoing dance instructors to teach blocks of classes in Lake Forest and/or Irvine to join our amazing team of instructors. We are lucky to have most instructors stay for several years some even over 8 years. Training would start in early to mid-August with classes starting end Aug/early Sept throughout fall leading into our holiday show in December.
Job to start August, part-time paid training with trainer, then classes start late August early September. *Please be sure this schedule works for you to start block of classes 1st week of September before applying. Must have for consideration:
- experience in genres of dance for several years
- Local to Orange County or within close proximity with own reliable transportation
- For Lake Forest &/or Irvine location availability on Saturday mornings and/or Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. on.

Classes are blocked in 3-5 classes back to back at these locations. Recitals in December & May each year.

Per class base pay listed in post (not per hour but per 45 minute class w/5 min. in between block of 3-4 classes). Additional pay for choreography, recital work & bonuses for summer camps in addition to pay.
Ideal candidate will have:
-Must be 18 years of age or older
-experience with dance (jazz, ballet, hip hop) - intermediate level.
-experience with teaching children or working with children ages 3-12 (or some ages in between)
-Upbeat, outgoing and fun personality *most important!!
-Ability to work independently
-Extremely responsible and organized
-Excellent communication skills with students and adults
-must have own transportation
-values integrity in their company and work
-professional, engaging & thrives working in team atmosphere
Ideally dance instructor will remain with company for long term with opportunities to teach more blocks and/or camps in future but not required. Hiatus for study abroad jobs in arts welcomed with notice.
Responsibilities
- Implement engaging dance curriculum for students at beginner level. Progression plans given to instructors
- Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Utilize strong communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff members.
- Incorporate creative elements such as music, costumes, and props to enhance dance lessons.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
