Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Welder/Cobot Programmer to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations and programming collaborative robots (cobots) to streamline fabrication processes. Your expertise will ensure precision in metal assembly, adherence to safety standards, and efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced welding techniques and automation technology in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform various welding operations including MIG, and Tig on different metal materials such as carbon, stainless steel and aluminum.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures.
- Program, set up, and operate cobots for repetitive welding tasks, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math skills to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Set up welding equipment, fixtures and materials to prepare for jobs
- Operate Angle Grinder to finish and smooth welds
- Operate Automatic saw
- Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Conduct quality inspections using hand tools and measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain consistent daily attendance
Physical Requirements
· Must be able to handle moving components weighing up to 50 lbs.
Skills
- Extensive experience with various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints related to fabrication projects.
- Proficiency in programming and operating cobots for automated welding applications.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other precision tools for quality control.
