Join Our Team as an Advanced Technician!
The Advanced Maintenance Technician independently maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of CNC, robotic, and automated manufacturing equipment. This role is a key problem solver on the shop floor, handling most breakdowns without assistance, supporting junior technicians, and contributing to equipment reliability and continuous improvement efforts.
Equipment Supported:
- CNC lathes and vertical/horizontal machining centers
- Laser cutting systems, waterjet cutters, punch presses, and press brakes
- Injection molding presses and automated dispensing systems
- Welding and assembly robotic cells
- Industrial ovens, powder paint systems, and plated process equipment
Automated and semi‑automated production cells Facility Maintenance Team: Perform simple to moderate repairs and maintenance tasks on facility systems, including HVAC/electrical, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Move facility equipment and parts throughout the facility using a variety of material handling equipment, including hoists and cranes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Independently perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Diagnose and repair mechanical failures involving spindles, bearings, ball screws, gearboxes, and drive systems
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, sensors, interlocks, safety circuits, and VFDs
- Perform PLC-based troubleshooting using I/O status, fault codes, and basic online monitoring
- Recover and restart CNC and robotic systems following equipment faults or process upsets
- Support robotic cells including tooling, alignment, and basic safety validation
- Perform precision alignment, leveling, and calibration of equipment
- Fabricate and repair components using manual machining, cutting, fitting, and welding
- Execute MIG welding and basic TIG welding for equipment and fixture repair
- Assist with machine installations, upgrades, and moderate rebuild activities
- Accurately document work, root cause, and recommendations in CMMS
- Provide day‑to‑day guidance and informal mentoring to junior technicians
Adhere to all safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental requirements

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Required:
- Approximately 5 years experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills across rotating and precision equipment
- Solid AC/DC electrical diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment (I/O, fault diagnostics, safe recovery)
- Proficient in hydraulic and pneumatic system troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprints
- Experience with CNC equipment maintenance and automated production systems
- Competent use of precision measurement tools and alignment equipment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred:
- Technical certificate or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or Electro‑Mechanical Technology
- Experience in high‑mix or automated manufacturing environments
- Exposure to robotic programming interfaces or advanced CNC diagnostics
Reliability, TPM, or continuous improvement experience

Environmental & Hazardous Conditions:
- Continuously working indoors in an air-conditioned manufacturing-based environment.
- Infrequently exposed to fumes/vapors/dust/gases/odors/mist/toxic chemicals/vibration/grease/oils/lasers/other etc.
- Continuously exposed to moderate noise levels, including machinery and forklifts.
- Infrequently working with the risk of scalding/burns/other etc.
- Infrequently exposed to wet humid/outdoor weather/extreme cold (non-weather)/extreme heat (non-weather) conditions/other etc.
Continuously working with machinery with moving parts/vehicles/forklifts/heavy machinery/sharp objects/other etc.
