Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Crew Leader, Lawn Maintenance to join our dynamic landscaping team. Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of lawn maintenance and landscaping crew members on daily outdoor projects
- Plan and coordinate projects related to groundskeeping and landscape installation
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems with safety and precision
- Identify various plants, shrubs, trees, and ground cover to ensure proper care and maintenance practices are followed
- Ensure all team members operate company vehicles safely and adhere to traffic laws during transportation between job sites
- Supervise crew activities to promote teamwork, productivity, and adherence to safety protocols
- Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks including pruning, fertilizing, aeration, planting, and general landscaping upkeep
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape maintenance practices
- Proven experience supervising outdoor work crews in landscaping or groundskeeping environments
- Strong plant identification skills coupled with horticultural knowledge for healthy plant care
- Skilled in operating grounds maintenance equipment and landscaping tools safely and efficiently
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment
- Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly and follow all safety regulations during transportation tasks
- Outdoor work experience in various weather conditions with a focus on grounds maintenance excellence
- Knowledge of gardening principles and grounds management best practices for sustainable landscapes
- Strong organizational skills for coordinating multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
