Responsibilities
- Conduct field service visits to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electronic systems and equipment at various locations.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and ohmmeters to diagnose issues and perform repairs efficiently.
- Interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to accurately identify components and troubleshoot faults.
- Perform maintenance tasks on electronic hardware including calibration, cleaning, and preventive checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair computer hardware components related to electronic systems and ensure proper integration within networked environments.
- Diagnose low voltage electrical issues using specialized testing equipment like multimeters and ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with service technicians to resolve complex problems involving mechanical knowledge or system integration.
- Maintain detailed service records, update logs for repairs performed, and document findings clearly for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or electronics technician with hands-on work in field service environments.
- Strong familiarity with working with hand tools and electronic testing devices such as ohmmeters.
- Experience troubleshooting computer hardware components and understanding computer networking fundamentals.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately.
- Prior involvement in equipment repair, maintenance procedures, or system installation projects.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with knowledge of low voltage electrical systems is highly desirable.
