Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Powder Coat Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality powder coatings to a variety of metal components and products, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help us produce top-tier finished goods that meet precise specifications and customer expectations. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or masking to ensure proper coating adhesion.
- Operate powder coating equipment, including spray booths and airless paint sprayers, with precision and safety.
- Apply powder coatings evenly using airless spray systems, ensuring consistent coverage across all parts.
- Manage materials handling processes, including loading parts onto racks or carts and moving finished items using forklifts or cranes.
- Conduct inspections of coated products using precision measuring instruments to verify quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment to promote safety and efficiency in the production process.
- Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and welding teams to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial or auto body painting, with knowledge of powder coating techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machining processes.
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling machinery safely.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks.
- Experience with auto painting or auto body repair is a plus.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement.
- Warehouse experience including the use of precision measuring instruments and materials management tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently.
