Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods into and out of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and efficiently. You will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall operations of our logistics department. Knowledge of Cabinetry and clean driving record a must.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and labeling them correctly.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Load and unload trucks safely while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Assist in organizing the warehouse for optimal efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving roles is preferred.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate inventory management.
- Experience with order fulfillment processes and warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
