Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or special promotions.
- Manage table turnovers by bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables promptly to maximize seating capacity.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met by following proper handling procedures during food preparation and serving.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments with POS systems.
- Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Food safety certification knowledge along with sanitation practices for food handling and kitchen safety.
- Previous experience with serving, bussing, and host/hostess duties is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and order accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and ensure seamless service delivery.
- Ability to speak Korean is a plus
