Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, components using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
- Perform routine maintenance to ensure HVAC system efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems to restore optimal operation.
- Assist with HVAC system design modifications or upgrades based on client needs or building requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during service visits.
Experience
- Proven construction experience with familiarity in mechanical systems installation and repair.
- Service technician experience working with HVAC systems or related mechanical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential settings.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely for mechanical repairs.
- Certification such as EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) refrigerant handling certification is required; additional certifications in HVAC/R or electrical diagnostics are advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
