Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Evening Shift Leader to oversee daily operations during the evening hours in a dynamic food service environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all activities during the evening shift to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Lead staff training and development to uphold service standards, food safety protocols, and operational procedures
- Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to meet quality expectations
- Manage POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages or waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive dining experience
- Assist with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to maximize restaurant profitability
- Supervise staff schedules, assign tasks efficiently, and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
- Support hiring efforts by participating in interviewing and onboarding new team members
- Foster a team-oriented environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a focus on evening shifts
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and food production processes
- Experience in managing hospitality teams including training & development initiatives
- Familiarity with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and operational efficiency strategies within the food industry
- Prior experience in casual dining or fine dining environments is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
