Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in maintaining and repairing various types of diesel-powered equipment, including farm machinery, tractor-trailers, and heavy equipment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical issues and develop appropriate repair plans
- Conduct brake repairs and electrical system troubleshooting
- Operate heavy equipment such as a wheel loader
- Fabricate parts when necessary to complete repairs
- Utilize power tools to disassemble and reassemble components
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines
- Knowledge of brake systems and electrical components in diesel vehicles
- A CDL B or higher is preferred, with the ability to drive a standard.
- Familiarity with machinery maintenance
- Ability to work on tractor-trailers and heavy equipment
- Proficiency in fabricating parts for repairs
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
