THE POSITION
As the Sales Region Manager, you will be responsible for the development of new business as well as the increase of business with existing customers. Based on his/her performance as determined by the VP Sales Upgrade Solutions the employee may work from home.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and organize Customer visits
- Develop customer relationships (especially target customers) according to Customer Development Plan by direct contacts and visits
- Develop business strategies for target customers
- Generate opportunities and RFPs for Upgrade Solutions
- Technical clarification of RFPs and transfer to offer team
- Support/perform contractual negotiations
- Support sales budget planning process
- Take-over special tasks to support the continuous improvement of the sales process
- Accurate reporting and management of customer data in templates/CRM
- Accurate use of sales tools as Sales Pipeline, Joint Visit Plan, Customer Development Sheets and Customer Visit Report
- Support and perform special product campaigns
- Support marketing and market intelligence activities
- Prepare trade show participation
- Participate on trade shows with Diehl representation and/or as a visitor
- Support offer team by offer strategy and monitoring the offer process
- Weekly reporting to the VP Sales Upgrade Solution
- US supplier development in coordination with the Supplier Quality Managers and Commodity Managers.
- Demonstrates track record of success in large complex international & domestic companies
- Ability to drive results (beat market, plan, and constant cover as deliverables to the business)
- Project Management experience a plus
- Entrepreneurial sprit
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree desired in Business or similar discipline a “Plus”
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 5 years of experience in Aviation
The ability to communicate in Spanish or Portuguese language is a “Plus”
TRAVEL
50%-60% Travel is required, both domestic and international
