Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team (hablamos español) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to upholding high standards of cleanliness across commercial, industrial, and residential spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and backpack vacuuming in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing to maintain the appearance of floors.
- Clean and disinfect clinical patient rooms
- Ensure all restrooms are clean, stocked with supplies, and maintained regularly.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure the functionality of the premises.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; report any shortages or needs to management.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing custodial duties.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of custodial practices including floor care techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuums safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license may be required for positions involving travel between locations.
