LNB Kids Weekday Childcare Worker (Seasonal Contract Position)

Are you looking for a meaningful and flexible opportunity during the school year? LNB Kids is hiring caring, dependable Childcare Workers to join our Weekday Ministry Team! This seasonal role is ideal for stay-at-home moms, retirees, or anyone who loves working with children and wants to make a difference while school is in session.
About the Role
As a Weekday Childcare Worker, you’ll help provide a loving, safe, and Christ-centered environment for children (ages 0–5) during our Tuesday morning Bible studies and twice-monthly MomCo gatherings. You’ll be part of a supportive team that follows gospel-based curriculum and helps create meaningful experiences for families in our church community.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and care for children in a nurturing, age-appropriate setting
- Engage with children through play, story time, and simple crafts or Bible-based activities
- Follow lesson plans and schedules provided by the Children’s Ministry Team
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate kindly and clearly with parents and caregivers
- Assist with classroom setup and cleanup before and after programs
- Foster a welcoming and loving environment in every interaction
Qualifications
- Prior experience with young children (childcare, preschool, VBS, or church nursery is a plus)
- A heart for children and a desire to serve families through ministry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule
- Must pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification is helpful but not required
Schedule & Commitment
This is a seasonal contract position (1099) running September through May, aligned with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools calendar.
Hours include:
- Tuesdays | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Weekly)
- Thursdays | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (2x/month during MomCo meetings)
- Occasional Sunday Evenings | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (as needed for special events)
Compensation
- $15/hour
- Flexible schedule with time off during school holidays
