Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across a variety of commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites or during remodeling projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble and install plumbing components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and inspection reports.
Experience
- Proven field service experience working on construction sites or in remodeling environments as a plumber or related tradesperson.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Hands-on experience with construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and proper use of heavy lifting techniques.
- Carpentry or handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate company vehicles is desirable but not mandatory.
