Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers and clients. This position requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, vans, and tractor-trailers
- Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the dispatcher
- Use navigation devices or maps to determine the best route for each delivery
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with customer requirements
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip to ensure they are in good working condition
- Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Collect payments from customers as required
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant information
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment is an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
