The staff schedule is full-time Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. In case of extreme weather, such as hurricanes, flooding, etc the Housing department is considered essential staff so the team may need to change the work schedule to accommodate evenings and weekends.
Note this position is based on the Hollywood Reservation located at 5700 Griffin Road, Davie, FL 33314 with occasional day travel to other sites/Reservations. There are work vehicles assigned to the department you can use between locations.
Position Summary
This Tribal-wide role provides administrative and office support to the Housing Director and designee(s) across all Housing reservations, supporting leadership in achieving departmental goals. The individual assists in the coordination of daily administrative operations of the office, assisting with daily office tasks, coordinating communication, managing schedules, and supporting staff and management with documentation, reporting, and organizational needs. Generates reports, assists with administrative tasks related to multiple projects, as well as prepares, audits/monitors invoices and expense reports. The incumbent exercises good judgment when planning and accomplishing goals. Work involves assignments that require some independence in making decisions and obtaining solutions while adhering to and/or operating within established policies, rules and guidelines. An extensive degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Qualifications / Requirements
A High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. An Associate’s degree is preferred. Minimum of four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein. The incumbent must be able to work independently or within diverse groups. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages require; Lawson software experience is preferred. Ability to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
