HR & Payroll Manager (UKG) - Queens, NY
LHH is partnering with a respected nonprofit organization in Queens to identify an experienced
HR & Payroll Manager. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for a professional who enjoys balancing payroll administration with employee support and HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with UKG payroll systems, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities-
Oversee and administer end-to-end payroll processing using UKG, ensuring timely and accurate payment of employees.

Review payroll data, validate earnings and deductions, and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission.

Prepare recurring and ad hoc payroll reports for leadership, finance, and regulatory compliance purposes.

Support payroll tax filings, audits, and government reporting requirements.

Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable wage and hour laws.

Serve as a resource to employees regarding payroll, timekeeping, and benefit-related questions.

Assist management with employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, performance discussions, and policy interpretation.

Collaborate with HR leadership to support ongoing HR initiatives and day-to-day administrative functions.
Qualifications-
Demonstrated experience processing payroll and creating reports within the UKG platform.

At least two years of payroll administration and human resources experience.

Working knowledge of payroll regulations, employment practices, and tax compliance requirements.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
Compensation & Work Environment-
Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

100% onsite in Queens, New York.
