Overview
Candor Aviation, Inc. is seeking a qualified and experienced Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Aircraft Technician to join our maintenance team at our Dallas, Texas facility. The A&P Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and return to service of aircraft and aircraft components in full compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), manufacturer’s maintenance manuals, and Company procedures. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the highest standards of technical competence, regulatory compliance, and professional integrity.
Duties
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on airframes, engines, and aircraft systems in accordance with applicable 14 CFR, manufacturer’s manuals, and FAA-approved data.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and avionics-related discrepancies; determine root cause and implement corrective action.
- Review and verify technical data, airworthiness directives, and service information prior to commencing work.
- Adhere to all Company safety policies, FAA regulations, and OSHA requirements at all times.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic instruments such as ohmmeters
- Experience with airplane maintenance is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently and accurately
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Good communication skills for clear documentation and teamwork
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt in a fast-evolving aviation setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have A&P license
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred but not required.
- Experience with piston and/or turbine engine aircraft maintenance.
- Familiarity with FAA Part 135 or Part 145 maintenance environments.
- Experience with avionics troubleshooting and installation.
- Ability to operate ground support equipment including tugs, jacks, and ground power units.
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking and records management software.
