We are seeking a passionate and skilled Associate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in food preparation and a love for creating delicious baked goods. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As an Assistant Baker, you will be responsible for producing a variety of baked items, including but not limited to pastries and bread, while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
Shift Requirements
- This opening requires the ability to work early morning bake shifts, as well as afternoon/evening prep shifts
- Weekend availability is required
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products.
- Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to fulfill catering orders and special requests.
- Package finished products attractively for display or delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers regarding their orders and preferences when appropriate.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or baking is preferred.
- Familiarity with pastry techniques and focaccia is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices within the food industry.
- Experience in catering environments is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
