We are looking for someone who enjoys working closely with patients, values attention to detail, and takes ownership of their work. You will work closely with physician in the office.
Full-Time/Part-Time Medical Assistant
Responsibilities
As a Medical Assistant, you will be involved in all aspects of patient care and clinic operations, including:
- Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs and medical histories
- Preparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during visits
- Administering allergy immunotherapy injections while monitoring patient safety
- Performing allergy skin testing and pulmonary function testing after appropriate training
- Educating patients on treatment plans and medications
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Keeping exam rooms and clinical areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Assisting with front desk responsibilities, including scheduling, answering phones, and checking patients in or out as needed
- Preparing allergy immunotherapy extracts (training provided as appropriate)
- Working collaboratively with the entire team to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred
- Experience in allergy, family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, or another outpatient specialty is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Reliable, dependable, and committed to providing excellent patient care
